throat chakra opening

the moon and the sun are playing a healthy loving game of tag this morning, the sun light reaching into my house thru the door with its long wide light fingers it stretches across the floor into the back of the livingroom, which rarely gets the sun's attention.

the moon lingers like a white shadow in the sky, it's intentional gaze still beseeching me to still myself, to breathe.

last night i actually got into bed before 11pm. what a great sleep (despite phone calls from band members at 1am)...my body is returning to its former self...

i was thinking about the fact that i have been weak in my energy since probably may-june...i've been weak and sick on and off since april i think...and it occurred to me that this is all caused by my increase in energy manipulation and play with out the know-how to protect myself. it's like a little toddler getting into oil paints - they're pretty and can create lovely colors, but as a toddler, i still don't know how to use the paints without getting myself all messed up...which is why i've been so weak...it's all part of a process to build strength and understanding.

early on when i was staying with dalida and kerena (march-ish) liu shifu told me that learning to protect oneself from the energy around us is super important. i didn't really understand what he meant at the time cuz i'm just an energy infant, but now it makes more sense. thru meditation and tantric yoga and wushu, it is possible to fortify the body, to allow the energy to serve as a protective coating...

keep learning....that's whats gotta be done.

so much is going on over the next 2 months - jazz festival (21-23 sept), drummer festival (shanghai 17-19th oct), gig in hangzhou (20th oct), not to mention the recording i will be doing with both of my bands...creativity is flowing, and i am gettin rid of the crap in my throat.

i've been working on my throat chakra alot - stretching my throat and neck in new gentle kinds of ways. if anyone has any suggestions on how to open the throat chakra please make them to me. i've done past life regression (and found i had been hung in one life and strangled in another), yoga, meditations, etc. it's all contributing to a better me, but there is still something going on there...my energy rises up and gets stuck there as i speak...

as you can imagine, this really affects my singing career....
